Our two pods are working to create a diverse and inclusive community of young adults in Charlotte, where people can find a home for themselves in their social and Jewish lives. We will be hosting three programs per month, and we look forward to welcoming you at our upcoming events!
The Uptown Chabad for Young Professionals is a community located in the Charlotte center city for young Jews in their 20s and 30s. Regardless of one’s background or connection to things Jewish, our commitment is to ensure that every Jew has a place to connect with other young Jews, on their terms. Social, learning, and volunteer events are provided to engage and inspire in a warm and personal setting.
The Porch is Temple Beth El’s thriving Young Adults and Families with Young Children community. The Porch is a broad community that builds connections between Jewish adults and families – from recent college graduates to parents of preschoolers. This diverse community offers many types of community-building programming, from Happy Hours to Tot Shabbat to Havdalah services, all seeking to give people many portals into Jewish life where they can find deep personal meaning and build significant relationships with others engaged in Jewish living.
Dedicated to fostering a vibrant Jewish community in Charlotte, the Temple Israel Young Professionals Group, Torah On Tap, connects Jews in their early twenties to mid to late thirties looking for an extended Jewish family. We build relationships and explore our Jewish identities through shared experiences – educational, social, spiritual, and philanthropic. Join us as we help define what it means to be a Jew in a modern world.
