The Bernstein Leadership Group has been creating leaders for more than 20 years, thanks to the visionary leadership of Don and Bobbi Bernstein. The Jewish Federation of Greater Charlotte facilitates this life-changing class in the hope of creating the next generation of 

leadership in the Jewish community.

The class has three areas of focus: Community, Jewish Identity, and Leadership Building.

Community

To be an effective leader and strategically address the challenges of our growing community, one must first understand the landscape and history of the Charlotte Jewish community.

Jewish Identity

What does it mean to be a Jewish leader? How can we incorporate Jewish ethics and values into our everyday life? We will answer these questions by delving into the Yesod curriculum, a leadership development program that is a collaboration between the Florence Melton School of Adult Jewish Learning and the Jewish Federations of North America. The Yesod curriculum merges Judaic text study, business skills, leadership theory, and experiential application. 

Leadership Building

This track is designed to train, enable and solidify leadership skills needed to assume leadership roles within the community. The skills learned in the track will provide a foundation for future leadership roles in the Jewish community and other endeavors.

This 16-month program gives you the tools and inspiration to ascend the next steps in your leadership ladder. We know you will have a meaningful impact on the Jewish community in the coming years.
