We are pleased to welcome Soferet Julie Seltzer to discuss the making of a Torah scroll. Julie, one of the
first women to train as a Soferet and write a Torah Scroll, explains how Torahs (and other sta"m)
are made. She will also share her personal journey, and how and why she became a scribe.

Julie Seltzer has been writing Torah scrolls since 2009, when she was Scribe-in-Residence at the Contemporary Jewish Museum in San Francisco, CA.
