JCRI Invites you to...come help refugee children with Gingerbread House Construction at ourBRIDGE for Kids afterschool porgram at Aldersgate.
Children of refugees, asylum seekers, and undocumented parents have traveled great distances to reach safety. They have also left behind the only homes they ever knew. Gingerbread homes, made of sugar and spice, reflect the desire for all children to have a sweet home: a bookshelf on which to put books, a table around which a family sits, and the safety and security that comes from having a place to call home.
Requirements: A volunteer training session at the Levine JCC on November 24th and a background check fee of $25 will be necessary, unless you are already approved to work with school children for the 2019-20 school year.
